Safety Systems Recalibration FAQ
What is windshield camera recalibration?
Many modern vehicles have a forward-facing camera mounted at the top of the windshield. It's part of your advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) — lane assist, collision sensors, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and more. After any windshield repair or replacement, the camera needs to be recalibrated so these systems work correctly.
What safety systems do you recalibrate?
We address misaligned lane assist, malfunctioning adaptive cruise control, faulty collision sensors, inaccurate parking sensors, disabled emergency braking, incorrectly functioning blind spot monitoring, and calibration issues after windshield replacement.
Do I always need recalibration after a windshield replacement?
If your vehicle has a forward-facing camera mounted at the top of the windshield, yes — replacing the glass shifts the camera angle enough to throw the system off. If your vehicle doesn't have one of these cameras, recalibration isn't required. We'll confirm when you call.
